Reddys Tortieshell girl Chrysanthemum (Mum) makes new friends

Gary!

She is really doing great, sleeps with me
every night, plays most of the day and the
kids love her. We've named her Chrysanthemum,
like the flower, but most of us usually call her Mum.
The other cat is a neutered male, about
5 1/2 months old. He's scared of his own
shadow after the abuse he suffered and she
completely dominates him - she chases him
around, pounces on him, sneaks up on,
basically stalks him often and rules the
roost for sure. It's really funny to see how
"in charge" this little girl is, of the older
male cat in the house.

We have an extra twin sized mattress we've
got standing up against a wall, just leaning there
until we find someone who wants it or take it to
the dump I guess, and it's her favorite toy. She
scales it over and over, goes all over it up and
down and side to side - it's like the ultimate
scratching post. My son Aaron, who I came
to your house with, calls her Spider Cat
(like SpiderMan).
I hope you're doing well and all your cats are
healthy. We still haven't taken Mum to the vet
but she's doing great, eats well, poops normal,
no fleas that I've seen.
Thanks again,
Tina

note: Tina helped the rescue of the abused kitten
giving it a forever home!

Jacob at Christmas

Gary,

My apologies for not replying sooner! Things have
been somewhat hectic. Actually, me and Jacob are
writing to you all the way from Puerto Rico! We
are here visiting the family for the Holidays :) They
all have fallen head over heels over him. He received
tons of presents today under the tree! A mouse, treats,
a feather toy, a scratching post...Santa went
all out :P He was an amazing sport on the trip.
He was with me the entire time on the carrier and
he was so quiet during the plane ride. He actually was
quite the sensation, I took him out to pass through
security and a person actually took a picture of him!
and on the plane as well. No joke! He felt like the
little celebrity haha.

Two weeks ago we went to our first Vet visit.
He got his shots up to date and finally got neutered.
The Vet said he is a beautiful
kitten, very happy and that he is going to be huge :)
He is about to turn 7 months and is a little over 8 pounds.
He is already the size of a average size
cat. From the surgery, he recovered wonderfully.
He loves to sing and chirp and play with water. He can
spend hours by the kitchen sink looking down the drain
haha. Remember I was worried about him not learning
his name? Well he knows it! Every time I call him he
chirps and comes over. He sleeps next to me every
night and doesn't get off the bed until I wake up.
Oh but when it's play time, he is wild! I think he is
the mischievous one of the bunch. He runs around the
house in circles, I say he is training to be a circus
act haha Jacob is such a joy to me :) He is so friendly,
loves watching television and sits on the
counter while I cook. He is my little chef.
His tail has fluffed up beautifully and he is sooooo soft.
He doesn't like to get his belly rubbed which drives me
crazy 'cause he is always laying around and it looks so
soft and I wanna just pet him forever, but he doesn't
let me. He prefers to sit next to me and follow
me like a shadow.

Well, here are a few pictures of how he is doing. They
might be a little blurry since I took them with my phone,
but I'll try to take some more with an actual camera
and send them over.

Happy Holidays and all the best on New
Years!

Reddys Bright Red boy at his home

Doing well. Older cats getting interested in him.
We think we might name him "LEO" but still playing
with names. Thank you!

May you have a Blessed Nativity celebrating Christ Jesus' birth.
